IRTG Overview
What is the IRTG?
The Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) is part of the CRC 1242 and is co-chaired by Prof. Jürgen König and Prof. Marika Schleberger. The IRTG supports the CRC in qualifying the doctoral students for the research program and for a later career in academia, industry, and administration. It offers doctoral students a comprehensive training program in fundamental sciences and key skills.

Good Research Practice
Good research practice is an important point in science, that's why the CRC1242 and the IRTG put great importance on teaching good research practice. At the Summerschool in 2023, there was a talk on good and bad research practice by Axel Lorke.
Information on good scientific practice can be found here:

As artificial intelligence also gets more important around the world and in science, the CRC1242 and IRTG also focus on its importance. At the Ph.D. Retreat, there was a workshop on artificial intelligence by Gérald Kämmerer.
