Summerschool 2025
Scope
Having entered the final funding period of our CRC 1242, this summer school focuses on five specific areas of nonequilibrium dynamics of condensed matter in the time domain: phase transitions, quantum dynamics, nonlinear and chiral phononics, plasmons, and topological surface effects. Each topic will be evaluated from an experimental and theoretical perspective. Participants will be Ph.D. candidates and postdocs working in the field of nonequilibrium dynamics; an active contribution to the poster sessions is expected.
Invited Speakers
Phase Transitions: Gabi Schierning (UDE), Michelle Johannes (Naval Research Laboratory)
Quantum Dynamics: Annika Kurzmann (University of Cologne), Michael Lorke (UDE)
Nonlinear and chiral phononics: Dominik Juraschek (TU Eindhoven)
Plasmons: Tom Murphy (University of Maryland), Joel Cox (University of Southern Denmark)
Topological surface effects: Fred Hucht (UDE), Michael Horn-von Hoegen (UDE)
Childcare Option
The CRC 1242 offers childcare to all participants. If you need childcare, please contact Dr. Christine Koch.
