Renewal of loan period
How many times can I renew a loan period?
The loan periods of borrowed media can be renewed for up to 1 year (except: interlibrary loans).
Standard loans can be renewed as long as they are not required by another customer.
The loan period can also be renewed if it has already been exceeded.
The renewal is at your own risk.
Good to know! Keep track of your return dates!
Import the due dates of your borrowed media into your calendar system as an iCal calendar.
How do I renew the loan period?
Start the Primo catalogue.
Click on "Sign in" in the upper tool bar: 
Click on "My Account" to check on your library account:
Next, click on "My Loans" to get a list of your borrowed media:
To renew the loan period of all items at once, click on "RENEW ALL".
Alternatively, you can extend the loan period for individual media via the link "RENEW".
The new dates are displayed in your account.
Please click on the browser button "Reload" or call up your account again to check on the current due dates.
Why can't I renew the loan period?
Renewal is not possible if the maximum loan period of one year has already been reached or the media is required by another customer.
Are there other ways to renew a loan period?
Alternatively, you can apply for renewal
- by letter or fax,
- by email to information.ub@uni-due.de,
- personally at the lending desks in all branch libraries:
