What you need to know for booking
This is how it works
- Only members of the UDE can make a booking.
- You register with your UDE identification (= Unikennung).
- Book at least three hours in advance and a maximum of two weeks in the future.
- You can book one appointment per day (maximum 3 hours) and two appointments per week.
- You will automatically receive an email confirming your appointment.
- For this purpose, your email address is read from the local authentication system of the UDE.
- In the booking system, the booked period is marked as "Reserved".
Data protection notice
Your UDE identification (= Unikennung) is transmitted to us and stored. We also save the date and time of the entry. To confirm the room booking, the mail address linked to your UDE identifier is read from the local LDAP directory. In this context, the data will not be passed on to third parties. The data is used exclusively for processing the registration and is deleted after 7 days.

PC workstations
For UDE students and employees
Numerous PC workstations are avaible in our branch libraries.
UDE members need their UDE identification (= Unikennung) and password to log in.
For external users
External users can access the Primo catalogue and licensed electronic resources (e-books, e-journals, databases) without logging in at some PC workstations in the branch libraries GW/GSW and LK.
Printing
Print jobs can be started from all PC workstations. Printouts can be made on all copiers. Printing from files stored on USB flash drives is also possible on all copiers.
UDE students need their student ID card as a payment method.
External users require a copy card ('white card'), which is available from machines in the GW/GSW and LK branch libraries. The white card must first be registered at the e-Point.
You will need a copy card, which you can buy from the machines in the branch libraries GW/GSW and LK.
Laptop workstations
In the GW/GSW and LK Libraries, some workstations have been equipped with a monitor with an integrated USB-C port, HDMI port, keyboard and mouse.
A laptop with a corresponding USB-C socket can be connected to the existing USB-C cable and charged. The monitor, keyboard and mouse can also be used.
The existing HDMI cable can be used with laptops without USB-C. The monitor can be used via HDMI, but the keyboard and mouse cannot. It is also not possible to charge laptops via HDMI.
