Benefits for members of the University of Duisburg-Essen

  • The University of Duisburg-Essen has concluded a "Nature Transformative Agreement" with the publisher SpringerNature
  • The agreement entitles authors (corresponding authors) of the UDE to publish free of charge in the hybrid Nature Branded Journals
  • The author fees (APCs) of  submitting corresponding authors of the UDE are paid and financed centrally by the UDE. Invoices are processed by the University Library

 

Requirements

  • You are a member of the UDE and responsible for submitting the article as corresponding author
  • UDE students can apply for article funding if a member of the supervising faculty supports or approves the publication of the paper. In these cases, funding is only granted upon application and is decided on a case-by-case basis
  • The University of Duisburg-Essen or the University Hospital must be specified as the first affiliation
  • Eligible article types: Primary Research

  • List of journals (Nature und Nature Research Journals, marked with "Y" in the Nature OA Publishing column)
  • Exception: Nature Reviews Journals and Nature Protocols are not included
