Alicia Damitsch
Alicia Damitsch works as a research assistant in EFL Education at the University of Duisburg-Essen. She studied English and Health Sciences at the University of Münster and graduated with a master’s degree (Master of Education für das Lehramt an Berufskollegs) in 2022. As part of her studies, she gained work experience abroad at the St John’s Upper Holloway C.E Primary School in London, UK, and the Academy for Autism in Orlando, FL. Her master thesis explored challenges and resources of differentiated learning in vocational English language education.
Alicia Damitsch’s main research interests revolve around teaching English at vocational schools, including heterogeneity and inclusion in vocational education and the professionalization of vocational English teachers. In her PhD project, she conducts an intervention study with the intention of further developing vocational English teacher education by applying school-type-specific learning opportunities at university level.
