Questions of difference and diversity have emerged as central concerns in EFL education, both in research and in teaching practice. This conference invites students and young researchers to explore issues of difference and diversity during talks, joint discussions, and networking activities.
The plenary talk will be held by Dr. Manuel López-Pereyra, Universidad Iberoamericana Ciudad de México.

The EFL education team was honoured to co-organise the 29th DGFF (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Fremdsprachenforschung) congress at the University of Duisburg-Essen from September 22-24, 2021.
Junior Research Meeting – JRM 2018
From 10th to 11th September 2018, the 10th AILA-Europe Junior Researcher Meeting in Applied Linguistics was hosted by the University of Duisburg-Essen, Campus Essen, Germany. This international two-day conference with focus on Research(ing) Cultures in Applied Linguistics allowed early career applied linguists to present their research and network in an interactive and informal international environment.
