Visiting Scholar Alessandra Cappelletti

The IN-EAST and the Käte Hamburger Kolleg / Centre for Global Cooperation Research (KHK/GCR21) are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Alessandra Cappelletti. Welcome!

Alessandra Cappelletti (born 1976) is Adjunct Professor of International Relations of East Asia at The American University of Rome. She is joining the IN-EAST and the KHK/GCR21 from October 2016 until March 2017.

Cappelletti’s areas of expertise: Anthropology, Sociology and International Relations. In particular, Alessandra’s research interests range from the micro-perspective of development inequalities to the macro-dynamics of transnational ties and power relations among countries, with a particular attention to the impact of internal policies of East Asian countries on their international relations.
