Dr. Lun Du studied German studies, sinology, politics and sociology in China and Germany. He is lecturer for Chinese language and in charge of Chinese language teaching at the Institute of East Asian Studies. He is also research fellow in the field of the political culture of China. Focus of research: „Book of Documents“, political philosophy of the ancient China, Confucianism, political legitimacy and political legitimacy ideas of Confucianism, political culture of the contemporary China, comparative studies of the cultures between China and the West.

Since 2009 Dr. Du is chairman of the German Confucian Society.
