Call for Papers: "Migrant Organizations"
The Guest Editors Prof. Dr. Karolina Barglowski, Prof. Dr. Sören Petermann and Dr. Thorsten Schlee invite contributions for the Social Science‘s Special Issue "Migrant Organizations: Multifunctional and Flexible Providers of Social Protection and Welfare in Changing Societies".
Although migrant organizations are becoming increasingly important, there is still a lack of a profound understanding of the structures, functions, and engagement of MOs and their interconnectedness with other organizations and institutions across various fields and disciplines. This Special Issue addresses this gap by exploring new empirical research related to Mos, with an emphasis on illuminating their role for the well-being, life chances and access to social protection among migrants and their families. The Guest Editos welcome submissions that tackle these issues using various methodologies and theoretical perspectives, not restricted to any geographical space. They are particularly interested in submissions that advance innovative, inclusive and participatory approaches, and research that considers co-production and partnerships with various stakeholders (NGOs, local service providers, activists) and (migrant) communities.
Deadline for manuscript submissions: 1 October 2022.
