DSH examination
With the German Language Test for University Admission (DSH), you prove that your level of knowledge in German is sufficient to study at a German-speaking university.
The majority of foreign applicants must demonstrate German language proficiency at DSH 2 level (with a few degree programme-specific exceptions) before beginning their studies.
DAAD examination
If you attend and successfully complete our general English B2 and English C1 level courses, we can issue you the DAAD certificate at the corresponding level without an additional examination.
In addition, special Moodle courses are usually offered in January, April, June, September/October and December, which prepare you for and conclude with a DAAD examination in English. Information on this and registration for the courses is available via the LSF.

Oxford Test of English
We are an official test centre for the Oxford Test of English.
The Oxford Test of English (OTE) is a general English test from Oxford University Press that is increasingly recognised at universities and other institutions around the world.
It is a computer-adaptive test of general English covering the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. The test takes about two hours to complete.
HSK examination
Examinations in Chinese can be taken at the Konfuzius-Institut Metropole Ruhr.
HSK is the official standard examination for proof of Chinese language proficiency. After successfully passing the exam, a certificate is issued, which is important for applications, scholarships, a semester abroad or admission to a degree programme in China, for example.
