Landesportal ORCA.nrw
The Digital University NRW launched the state portal Open Resources Campus NRW (ORCA.nrw) in September 2021. In the ORCA.nrw portal, teachers can find open educational materials for teaching or share materials with others. Students can use open educational materials and review, deepen or expand their knowledge.
ORCA.nrw is a joint project of the public universities and universities of applied sciences sponsored by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the state universities of art and music of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Funding programmes at UDE
OER funding from the University Library (financed from Rectorate funds)
True to its guiding principle "Open in thinking", the University of Duisburg-Essen supports the free exchange of digital educational materials - also known as Open Educational Resources or OER - in the teaching community.
In line with the United Nations' education agenda, UDE sees the promotion of open educational materials as an important contribution to the inclusive and equitable organisation of education and lifelong learning for all people.

DataCampus
The establishing of the DataCampus UDE aims to initiate a university-wide development process to anchor data skills in all subjects.
The project measure "Share your Data" explicitly addresses the creation and publication of OERs: The focus is on the possibility of reusing introductory lessons, data sets and existing analyses in other events and settings in order to make it easier for other interested parties to get started with the topic. The OERs created in the project will be made available on the ORCA.nrw portal at the end of the project in 2022.

ZHQE funding programme for teaching and learning innovations
As part of the ZHQE's Teaching-Learning-Innovations (LLI) funding programme, lercturers who would like to further develop their teaching practice have been able to apply for funding in three funding lines (concrete teaching, diverse teaching, digital teaching - €15,000) or for a fellowship for innovations in the digital university (€50,000) every year since 2018.
The Teaching Concrete, Teaching Diverse and Teaching Digital funding lines are aimed at professors and their teams. Teaching and learning materials developed in the funding lines that are suitable for subsequent use by third parties must be made available as OER under an appropriate licence.
All academic staff with teaching duties are eligible to apply for a fellowship for innovation in the digital university.
