Notes on Bachelor's and Master's Theses

You would like to write your thesis in the AG Intercultural Psychology? We are happy to supervise BSc and MSc theses in psychology, education and social work. If you are interested, please contact us as early as possible.

Topics:

• Intergroup relations and intergroup contact (e.g., interethnic/intercultural friendships and relationships).
• Acculturation and educational processes in the context of ethnic diversity (e.g., social and cultural adaptation, social identity development, culturally sensitive teaching)
• Political Socialization (e.g., influence of school, peers, and parents on intergroup attitudes, social engagement, and political participation)

Proposals for own topics are possible, as long as they fit the research focus of the department. Empirical work is welcomed and usually required in the case of final theses in the psychology program.

If you would like to write your thesis with us, please prepare a short synopsis (max. 2 pages) outlining the research question and the planned methods. Please send your exposé to your prefered supervisor.

Please also note our concept for conducting final theses in the AG. This concept contains valuable hints for the design of your final thesis. We have different evaluation criteria for empirical theses (standard) and for theoretical theses (exceptions).
