Multimodal Interaction & Eye-Tracking Lab
What is the Multimodal Interaction & Eye-Tracking Lab?
In our research, we use ethnographic fieldwork as well as audio-visual survey methods and eye-tracking to study everyday interactions.
In order to be able to create specific conditions for communication in semi-experimental settings, we set up the Multimodal Interaction and Eye-Tracking Lab in 2016. This provides us with an infrastructure for multimodal interaction research.

Equipment of the Lab
In 2016, we set up the Multimodal Interaction & Eye-Tracking Lab for this purpose. This allows for flexible room arrangements and has a ceiling traverse, adjustable LED lighting and workstations for processing eye-tracking data. The lab thus offers a framework for various types of interaction studies, e.g. with eye tracking and motion capturing (Kinect).
The Multimodal Interaction & Eye-Tracking Lab and its technical equipment (eye-tracking glasses, 4k cameras, LED lights, audio devices, etc.) can be used - in consultation or cooperation with our working group - for data collection as part of student theses. It is not possible to rent out the technical equipment.
