The CRC1430 hosted its first PI Retreat on February 13th and 14th, at Parkhaus Hügel in Essen Bredeney, to reflect on the progress of its collaborative efforts. The two-day event featured engaging presentations focused on the "Molecular Mechanisms of Cell State Transitions," encouraging in-depth discussions. The inspiring environment not only strengthened research collaborations between the groups but also provided a platform to welcome our new associated group leaders.

We are pleased to integrate the following new members into the CRC 1430:

  • Katarzyna Kliza: "Decoding ADP-Ribosylation Signaling in Cell State Transitions"
  • Barbara T. Grünwald: "Transcriptional regulators of differentiation state transitions in pancreatic tumor fibroblasts"
  • Kathrin Thedieck: "Metabolic signaling in cell state transitions upon nutrient stress"
  • Dana Branzei, our newest group leader: "DNA helicase Chl1/DDX11 at the intersection of DNA repair and sister chromatid cohesion"

Their addition further enhances the scope of our research and lays the groundwork for exciting future collaborations.
