Project Area Z - Central Services Integrated Research Training Group (iRTG)
The iRTG offers a training and support program for doctoral researchers on mechanistic cell biology, chemical biology, and the molecular and cellular basis of disease, but also on state-of-the-art methodologies. Regular lectures, annual retreats, invitation of guests and participation at international conferences will promote scientific discussions and support communication, collaboration and exchange of scientific ideas among doctoral researchers, sub-projects and (inter-)national experts by avoiding detours through various hierarchical levels. Members of the iRTG not only obtain an in-depth interdisciplinary scientific training, but also have many opportunities for other types of personalised training to promote personal and social skills, scientific autonomy and future careers. Moreover, the iRTG will serve as a platform for quality control of the thesis supervision and the dissertation process.
