André Armbruster obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Sociology from Bielefeld University. He spend a semester abroad at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. After his graduation, he was researcher at the YMCA University of Applied Science and the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg. In 2017, he joined the Department of Sociology at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
